A lightning bolt crashes between distant ridges during a summer afternoon storm, as seen from Hi View Point on the Mogollon Rim north of Payson, Arizona.
This is the first lightning photograph I've ever taken during the daytime. To accomplish this, I put my digital camera in movie mode and kept it pointed at the distant storm for a minute until a lightning strike occurred. This is a frame capture from the movie.
