Venus Through Natural Arch, With Moon


Looking west about an hour after sunset in the southern California desert. A nearly-first-quarter moon rides high above evening twilight, and a scattering of stars have appeared. By positioning my tripod in exactly the right spot, I was able to capture the planet Venus shining through a small natural arch in the canyon wall!
