The familiar constellation of Orion sets in the west, beyond a hillside of towering saguaro cactus illuminated by the light of a full moon.

This photograph was published in the August 2004 issue of Astronomy Magazine, the December 2004 issue of Sky & Telescope Magazine, and the March/April 2005 issue of Night Sky Magazine.

Date: March 29, 2002.
Time: 9:43 p.m. MST.
Camera: Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR on fixed tripod.
Film: Kodak Elite Chrome 400 slide (pushed one stop).
Focal length: 50 mm.
Aperture: f/2.8.
Exposure time: 20 seconds.
Scanner: Nikon Coolscan LS-2000.
