Sunrise in the Garden


The desert night once again over, sunrise brings a new day to life. The sun rises directly behind a saguaro cactus, surrounded by other members of the desert plant community: ocotillo, organ pipe cactus, and palo verde.

Date: March 31, 2002.
Time: 6:31 a.m. MST.
Camera: Olympus OM-1 35mm SLR on fixed tripod.
Film: Fuji Provia 100 slide.
Focal length: 200 mm.

Exposure time: 1/30 second.
