The Total Solar Eclipse of April 20, 2023

Photographed from Exmouth Gulf, Western Australia

To view this eclipse, I flew to Australia and took a cruise ship which sailed from Fremantle up the western coast. The ship anchored in Exmouth Gulf, right on the eclipse center line. Since totality lasted for only one minute, I decided to not take my eyes off it -- I took this photo "blind" with my camera set to wide-angle, held at my waist and pointed roughly toward the sun.
